LA Galaxy Overtake Rival Seattle Sounders as Most Valuable Club in Major League Soccer, Exciting Weekend of Top Notch Soccer Action with Eight Clashes Going Down

· August 18, 2017 · 5:00 pm

Starting off a weekend packed with Major League Soccer action is the match-up of the Portland Timbers vs New York Red Bulls, taking place in Portland, Oregon at the home of the Timbers in Providence Park. Local kick-off time is set to be 10 pm so do lock your coin bets in early to make the best of the available odds.

N.Y. Red Bulls vs. Portland Timbers

N.Y. Red Bulls vs. Portland Timbers

Following last week’s disappointing defeat to Toronto FC, the home side is keener than ever to find redemption with a hopefully credible performance in front of the home fans. Both sides are expected to have their starting 11 well rested prior to the Friday (local time) clash, we are in for a treat. With no suspensions or outstanding duties, the Timbers are still nursing injuries from Chance Myers’ supposed hamstring tear, Liam Ridgewell’s quadricep as well as Fanendo Adi and Gleeson’s hamstrings respectively. Gbenga Arokoyo will be out for a lengthy period due to an unfortunate Achilles tear also.

Who will you call to open with a screamer on the Portland side? Our call will be either Diego Valeri or Jeremy Ebobisse to score with a full-time score of 2-1 in favor of the home team. The odds are equally as charming as the thought of a positive performance. Out of their previous seven matches, New York Red Bulls have come out on top 6 times, however, this might just be the day for a change.

The New York Red Bulls have recently been victorious over FC Cincinnati in their US Open Cup Semi Final with an impressive 3-2. Bearing in mind they failed to reach the win within 90 minutes, we could be in for some extra time against the Timbers likewise. Again, no suspensions lined up for the Red Bulls, however, a long list of injured players include Daniel Royer and Mike Grella with knee injuries, with Grella being out for the rest of the season due to surgery. Overall our pick for this one will be more than 3 goals scored in the game – looking at the past few games it would make absolute sense to see a goal shower approach out of the blue.

Are the New York Red Bulls going to show a Cup Final worthy performance this weekend or are Sporting KC in for a breeze to lift the trophy?

D.C. United vs. Colorado Rapids

D.C. United vs. Colorado Rapids

On the other hand, D.C. United are paying Colorado Rapids a rapid visit indeed. Following major infrastructural changes at both clubs, the two will go head to head to see who adapted better. D.C. welcomed their new coaching team with open arms and are reportedly ready to go to war.

The absence of Pablo Mastroeni on Saturday evening locally will be rather odd for the fans, considering his fixture-like presence for the Rapids over the years. Both the fans and management are hoping to see a new trend bringing some significant results in as the weeks pass this season.

D.C. United’s head coach Ben Olsen is equally seeking redemption following a disappointing 1-0 defeat at home against Real Salt Lake. Bearing in mind that the game was postponed due to weather issues, the players were likely not enjoying the inconvenience but that cannot be used as an excuse for either side – you have to cope with what you have.

Zoltan Stieber is reportedly still waiting on his Visa so he will not be on our favorites list to open with a screamer. Either way, we are rooting for a 1-1 full-time result as we cannot see goal numbers exceed 2 or more. With some saucy odds, Nick DeLeon or Luciano Acosta are a good pairing to put your hard earnt cryptocoins on.

Bet Bitcoin on UFC 209: Stephen Thompson vs. Tyron Woodley

· March 4, 2017 · 3:00 am

Bet Bitcoin on UFC 209. This time, two belts are on the line including the rematch of Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson and ‘The Chosen One’ Tyron Woodley.

The last fight ended in a draw and Woodley retained the belt. It will be interesting to see what changes the fighters make this time around. On this fight card is also the highly anticipated fight Tony Furgeson vs. Kalaib Nurmagomedov for the interim 155 title. This fight could arguably be the main event, and the winner could face Conner Mc Gregor. Let’s take a look at these two fights and the sportsbooks that enable you to bet Bitcoin.

Stephen Thompson vs. Tyron Woodley 2

Thompson is known for his specular kicks and quickness. He uses a sideways stance used in more traditional martial arts. He was able to get some strikes in mainly in the fifth round of the last fight. In the rest of the fight, he was hesitant to pull the trigger and throw combinations or power strikes. His kicks were countered early on when Woodley caught a kick and took him down.

The key for Thompson is to throw a higher volume of strikes compared to last time and get in Woodly’s face. He could add in more leg kicks, but there is a reason why he was hesitant to do that in the first fight. Woodley has strong takedowns. If there are more kicks, then that could give Woodley more opportunities to get a takedown.

The problem that Woodley presents to people is his double threat of a powerful counter of a kick with one of his overhands or a takedown. Nearly every commentator talks negatively regarding Woodley’s stamina.

I think the last fight proved that he does have the stamina for a five round fight. Woodley is the one that did the damage last fight. He was able to stand with Thompson and figure out the riddle of his unorthodox style that many had trouble with.

I am going with the champion Woodley who is currently an underdog. Woodley’s politics of sometimes bringing in the question of how he is treated as a champion by the fans compared to other champions that are white has made him more unpopular, and Thompson’s spectacular spinning kicks has made him a fan favorite, and the betting line reflects that.

Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson

Update: This fight has been canceled

This is going to be one of the most legendary fights in UFC history. Khabib is undefeated and has dominated his opponents. He is known for taking people down, holding them there and beating them up. There has not been anyone that can stop his takedowns.

Khabib mixes different styles of takedowns from various martial arts which is what makes it difficult for people to deal with. Most people are used to sprawling against wrestling style takedowns, but he can switch to sambo, judo and other styles of takedowns in a flow that most people can not train for.

On the feet, Khabib is not afraid to use his hands to cover the distance to get in takedown range. In his last fight, he did show some weakness on the feet when he got rocked against Michael Johnson, but he went on to win that fight in a devastating manner. Tony Ferguson has one of the most unorthodox styles on the feet and the ground.

He can use distance on the feet and keep his distance while picking people apart as he did against former champion Raphel Dos Antos. Ferguson has shown us excellent takedown defense with sprawls and even rolling out of scrambling situations. He also uses leg locks and heel hooks off of the bottom.

If there is going to be someone to beat Khabib, then Ferguson could be the one. People are overlooking him and looking forward to a possible Khabib vs. Conner fight. Ferguson has a six-inch reach advantage on the feet, and on top of that, he is an expert at using distance. This is going to be a long night for Khabib if it is on the feet.

If Khabib can not get a takedown early on in the first or second round, then he will be in trouble. Most of Khabib’s fights end in the first or second round, and we have not seen how his stamina is in the later rounds.

I’m going with Ferguson. His technical striking with the reach advantage combined with his proven takedown defense will be enough to get this in the later rounds where Ferguson will pick him apart with his jab and elbows when he tries to close the distance.

Track Record

This year I am 3-2 in MMA picks including underdog Ronda Markos. You can check out past events here:

Also on this card two vets face off in Evens vs. Kelly. Maybe one of these guys retires after this fight. Two former K-1 Champions face each other in Hunt vs. Overeem. Hunt is suing the UFC for not doing enough against steroid use and faces Overeem who has been caught using PEDs in the past. This card is stacked from top to bottom.

Bet Bitcoin: UFC Fight Night Halifax (Travis Browne vs. Derrick Lewis)

· February 18, 2017 · 4:00 am

Last week’s UFC main event ended in a controversial decision this week’s main event is unlikely to go to the judges and is likely to end with someone on the ground.

Bet Bitcoin on UFC Fights

In the main event, Travis Browne faces knockout artist Derrick Lewis. Also on the card are two former champions Johny Hendricks and Carla Esparza who face Hector Lombard and Randa Markos. Also this weekend Bellator 172 features the legendary Fedor fighting against Matt Mitrione to round out a big MMA weekend. You can bet on all these fights with bitcoin at Cloudbet.

Travis Browne v Derrick Lewis

This heavyweight fight is not one you want to miss. Travis Browne has had a hard time getting a win lately losing his past, fights. Since he has been training with Edmond Tarverdya he has not looked the same. He used to be known for his footwork and quickness, but we have not seen him fight like the “old Travis” in a while. He has also shown that he can be knocked out and now he faces one of the most feared knockout artists in the heavyweight division.

Derrick Lewis is on a five-fight win streak with four knockouts. In his last fight, he was most likely down four rounds to zero but managed to get the knockout in the fourth round. He manages to find a way to test the chin of everyone that he fights, even if he is tired and behind in the fight. Even if we see the old Browne using a lot of footwork, his chin is questionable. Lewis will find a way to test that chin.

Pick: Derrick Lewis

Carla Esparza vs. Randa Markos

Carla Esparza is the first women’s featherweight champion in UFC history. She won the first all women TUF final against Rose Namajunas. She lost her first title defense to Joanna Jędrzejczyk in brutal fashion.

In her last fight against Juliana Lima, she was able to get the win however she looked a little hesitant on the feet. After taking the beating that she did against Jędrzejczyk, does she have confidence in her stand up? We know that she has good wrestling but what about her stand up? Esparza can put most of her opponents on the ground, but what happens when that does not work?

MMA: UFC 202-Markos vs Casey

I am not sold on her stand up, and I do not think she can handle a battle where she gets hit in the face a lot. Ronda Markos is willing to take one to give one. She is willing to brawl and get in some exchanges. Markos also has good wrestling and has a dangerous submission game. I think that Markos has a good chance of giving Esparza some trouble on the feet and that she can stuff enough of her takedowns to win this. On top of this, there is an old rivalry from TUF.

These two do not like each other and would like to get some hand on face time, not just cruise through rounds for a win. Esparza has a lot of distractions in the background. She reportedly has some financial problems and had her walk out song pulled for legal reasons. I think Markos can get the upset here.

Pick: Ronda Markos

Track Record: Previous Picks

This year I am now 1-2 on my MMA picks. De Randamie got the win via five round decision against Holly Holm. It was a controversial win because De Randamie hit Holm after the bell two times. After taking a second look the second time was not a solid hit, and De Randamie pulled her punch. That being said the ref could have easily taken a point away for the first late hit. If you watch the fight again do so without sound and judge each round, I think you will come to the same conclusion that the judges did.

A few big MMA events are coming up including UFC 209 that features two title bouts: Woodly vs. Thompson 2 and Nurmagomedov vs. Ferguson.

You can discuss MMA or sports betting at the Telegram sports betting channel. I will be there talking about the fights as they happen. Will Derrick Lewis get another knockout or are we going to see the old Travis Browne?

Bet Bitcoin on UFC 208: Holly Holm vs. Germaine de Randamie

· February 11, 2017 · 7:00 am

This weekend includes a chance to bet bitcoin on a UFC card with championship implications. Let’s have a look at one of the fights.

Bitcoin continues to grow as a method for people to bet on sports. Over $4.25 billion USD were bet on the Super Bowl. It is unclear how much of this amount was in Bitcoin, but it is clear that Bitcoin gambling is on the rise.

Holly Holm vs. Germaine de Randamie

There is a new weight division in the UFC. The women’s lightweight 145-pound division. This weekend we will know who the first champion of this division is. This title fight has two of the top strikers in women’s MMA.

Holly Holm known for her spectacular knockout win over Rondy Rousey will fight decorated striker Germaine de Randamie. Holm professional boxing record includes 16 title defenses won at three different weight classes, and Germaine de Randamie is 37-0 in kickboxing with three titles.

Although they are both known for their striking, they have two distinct styles. Holm is known for her technical counter-striking. She keeps her distance and prefers to stay on the outside and use her reach. She does not take very much damage and can win rounds by getting clean strikes and avoiding damage.

However, this time around she does not have the reach advantage that she is used to as de Randamie has two inches longer reach. Germaine is not only known for her technical striking but also for her power. She tends more to go forward and engage the fight and has also shown a strong clinch game including knees, which ended her fight against Anna Elmose.

The question here is will de Randamie’s forward movement open her up for Holm’s counter-striking? De Randamie is not the run of the mill MMA striker. She has years of experience and has shown her ability to judge distance and not just to go forward with abandon.

I give de Randamie the advantage in power and clinch. She will be able to back up Holm and get her up against the cage. The threat of de Randamie’s power is going to make Holm hesitant to commit to her strikes and make it difficult for her to win rounds on points. I am going with Germaine de Randamie.

Pick: Germaine de Randamie 1.74 at Cloudbet

Track Record: Previous Picks

The Super Bowl was the first ever to go into overtime. How the Atlanta Falcons lost such a big lead will be a question people will be asking for years. Atlanta giving up their lead and the game going into overtime made two of my picks losers.

The under 58 points and Atlanta Falcons Moneyline. The first half under 28.5 was a winner who makes the record 1-3 for the Super Bowl and 3-5 for the playoffs and Super Bowl combined. For MMA in 2017, I am 0-2. Let’s see if that improves after this weekend. Also on the fight card is the return of Jacare Souza who faces Tim Boetsch as well as the legendary Anderson Silva as he meets Derek Brunson.

UFC Fight Night: Dos Anjos vs. Ferguson, Bet on UFC with Bitcoin

Source: bitcoin

bitcoinist_mma UFC

It is that time again. After over a month without an event, the UFC goes south of the border to Mexico City with UFC Fight Night: Dos Anjos vs. Ferguson. How can you bet on the UFC? The best way is with bitcoin. Just load up your sportsbook account take advantage of one of the deposit bonuses, and you are ready to go. Let’s take a look at one of the fights and a pick.

Also Read: Trump vs Clinton: Bet on America’s Future With Bitcoin

A win in the main event would have title shot implications for Dos Anjos or Ferguson. The rest of the card is stuffed with some good fights, including the debut of undefeated Alexa Grasso. Other fights that have a possible fight of the night written on them are Lamas vs. Oliveira and Dariush vs. Magomedov.

UFC Fight Night Bitcoin Betting Picks

Heather Jo Clark vs. Alexa Grasso

Heather Jo was part of the first The Ultimate Fighter season featuring women. After winning her UFC debut vs. Bec Rawlings, she did not fight again until nearly a year and a half later at UFC Fight Night 87 against the now-title contender Karolina Kowalkiewicz.

In that fight, she showed improved striking, but still looks square and not very fluid at times. Heather Jo has a decent ground game, but she does not shine in any department. She has just enough skills in every area to get by but not dominate. Now she is facing the new UFC Mexican hype machine Alexa Grasso.

Twenty-three-year-old Grasso is undefeated at 8-0 and will be fighting in Mexico. This is the perfect chance for the UFC to debut a new Mexican fighter. She has won four times by decision and four times by knockout.

I think Grasso will just be too much for Heather Jo Clark and could get a knockout in the distance. There is also the slight chance that Grasso folds under pressure, but I doubt it. I like the fight does not go the distance prop that pays 2.65, either Grasso gets the finish or folds under the pressure. Heather Jo Clark´s way to victory is via finish not via decision.

If you think this event looks good, you should have a look at the rest of November. For the first time, the UFC will come to New York City after years of lobbying with the city government. There are also events in Belfast, San Paulo and Australia, where Rockhold faces Souza after losing the belt to Bisping.

NFL Week 8: Bet on Football With Bitcoin

NFL Week 8: Bet on Football With Bitcoin

After last week’s shocking 6-6 tie between the Cardinals and the Seahawks, this week in NFL starts out on Thursday night when the Jaguars face the Titans. The Dallas Cowboys are coming off a by week and face the Eagles at home, and the Pathers are also coming off a by week and face the Cardinals at home. Will the Panthers be able to bounce back after a terrible start of the season? This will be a good test at home for the Panthers.

Also Read: Trump vs. Clinton: Bet on America’s Future With Bitcoin

How can you bet on the games? The easiest way to bet on the NFL is to use Bitcoin. You can load your sportsbook account and get a bonus for depositing. Let’s take a look at one of the big games this week.

NFL Bitcoin Betting Picks

Patriots Vs. Bills

This rivalry is not only players vs. players but a battle of coaches Rex Ryan vs. Bill-Belichick.

This time, the Pats travel to Buffalo will be a road favorite, a position they are used to being in. At first glance, you might think that the Bills do not have a chance. However, last year the Bills destroyed the Pats 16-0, as the saying goes, “on any given Sunday.”

Currently, the Bills are 4-3 and in second place in the AFC East, and the Pats are first in the division at 6-1, losing only to the Texans. On paper, New England is getting almost 100 yards more in passing yards per game and Buffalo has about 30 yards more rushing per game. The rest of the offensive stats are about even. On defense, both teams have been on the field 456 times, and the Bills have only given up ten more yards as the Patriots.

Line Movement

One of the most bet-on teams in the NFL is the Patriots. Last week against the Steelers, around 90 percent of the bets were on the Patriots — with only 10 percent on the Steelers.

The Patriots are a “public” team. Everyone and their mom throws money at the Pats, and a lot of the time they do not really pay attention to the odds or the point spread. This time around, you are going to want to pay attention to the point spread.

This line started at -5 Patriots and is already at -6.5. If you are going to bet on New England, go ahead and do it now when you can get anything -7 or less. If you want to bet on the Bills on the spread, then you should wait. There should be plenty of public money coming in on New England on Sunday, and the line could go to -7.5 or higher and then you can take Bills +7 or higher.

My two picks are Patriots -6.5 and first quarter under 7.5 points. The line for the first quarter is not out, but I expect the defenses to be fresh, and both teams will be happy to start with a field goal if they are in the distance.

Theo and Tony go over all the odds for this week´s NFL games

When you are betting on NFL, do not forget the most common margins of victory. Most games have a margin of victory of 3 or 7 points. The difference between -7 and -7.5 is huge. If you can bet on spreads that cross the common margins of victory, you have increased your chances of winning significantly. If you are betting on an underdog consider placing half your bet on the Moneyline (outright win no spread) and half on the point spread. Do not overbet.

There are games every week, and there is no reason to bet on every game.

What are your picks? Do you have questions about point spreads? Post them in the comments below!

Bet on MMA with Bitcoin: UFC 202, McGregor vs. Diaz

Source: bitcoin

Bitcoin continues to be the easiest way to get funds to a sportsbook. In fact, a lot of sportsbooks offer deposit bonuses if you use bitcoin, since they also save money on fees and chargebacks. The much-anticipated rematch of McGregor vs. Diaz is this weekend at UFC 202. Let’s have a look at the odds and some of the other fights on this stacked card.

Also read: Bet on the Olympics with Bitcoin: Rio 2016 Picks

UFC 202 Betting Picks

Connor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz

McGregor was training to fight RDA at lightweight 155, but Rafael dos Anjos had to drop out due to injury. With eight days notice, Diaz took the fight. After taking some punches and getting cut, Diaz made it through round one. Round two was all Diaz, and he ended up winning the fight via submission in the second round.

What is different this time around? These two were set to fight at UFC 200, but due to McGregor having disagreements with the UFC regarding media dates and promotion, the bout was removed from the card and rescheduled for UFC 202.

McGregor has reportedly spent close to $300,000 USD on this training camp. He has brought in people to train BJJ and emulate Diaz.

While everyone is talking about McGregor, many have forgotten that Diaz did not have a full camp last time — while Mc Gregor did. The fight was at a higher weight class than McGregor was training for, but the fact remains. This time, Diaz will have a full camp behind him.

McGregor will be dangerous in rounds one and two, but I expect Diaz to be sharper than the last fight. This fight being five rounds puts Diaz at an advantage, since he has some of the best cardio in MMA.

According to the odds, Diaz is the underdog, even though he won the last fight. I am going with Diaz to win currently at 1.95-2.00 at most sportsbooks.

Neil Magny vs. Lorenz Larkin

The featured fight of the early prelims includes Magny, who is coming off a performance of the night victory over Hector Lumbard. Magny will face off against Lorenz Larkin, who is coming off a win of his own against Masvidal.

Magny, who is currently a slight favorite, uses his wrestling and volume of strikes to win fights. He has good wrestling and takedowns, but his chin is questionable, and his striking — although improved — still is not that great.

Larkin is known for his technical striking. He has clean and crisp striking and does not waste much movement when he strikes. He also has good takedown defense. Since he does not rely on wild haymakers and looping punches, Larkin does not open himself up to being taken down as much as fighters that have a more brawling style. The main thing against Larkin is that he is sometimes not active enough — evidenced in his split decision loss to Tomolov.

I can see Larkin stuffing takedowns and geting some good strikes in against Magny. If Magny can not get this fight to the ground, it is going to be a long night for him. I’m going with Larkin as the underdog as my pick. You can get Larkin at 2.10-2.20

Are you with Diaz or McGregor? Let us know in the comments below.

UFC Fight Night 21: Bitcoin Betting Picks

UFC Fight Night 21 is stacked. The main event features two dynamic strikers facing off against one another: Alex Caceres, aka “Bruce Lee Roy,” and Yair Rodriguez. Both Caceres and Rodriguez are known for their footwork and creativity in the octagon.

Knockout artist Danielle Taylor is making her UFC debut in the strawweight division. In the early prelims on fight pass, there is a potential fight of the night. Veterans Cub Swanson and Tatsuya Kawajiri will face off. Both are coming off losses and something to prove. Will the 38-year-old veteran that fought in PRIDE, Dream and One FC Kawajiri be able to defeat the number five ranked Cub Swanson?

Let’s take a look at two picks for this card.

Thales Leites vs. Chris Camozzi

Thales Leites is coming off two losses in a row: one to the now-champion Bisping, and his last fight to Mousasi both by decision. Camozzi is coming off of three wins, his latest against Vitor Miranda as the underdog.

The question is: will Leites be able to close the distance and use his power strikes and submission game or will Camozzi be able to keep him on the outside? Bisping and Mousasi were able to stay on the outside and outstrike Leites. Camozzi is a well-rounded fighter but does not especially shine in one area. He does have a TKO via leg kicks in Prize FC, however. That being said, I still give Leites the upper hand in striking, and Leites has a distinct advantage on the ground with high-level BJJ.

I’m going to take the favorite, Thales Leites at 1.60, and also add the -3.5 Handicap (no line yet)

Danielle Taylor vs. Maryna Moroz

Maryna Moroz is a technical striker with a background in boxing and has a “go to” submission, with five out of her seven wins earned via armbar. Danielle Taylor will make her UFC debut, filling in for Kish, who had to drop out due to a hand injury. Taylor has her own “go to” move using her hands to win via TKO. Taylor has a brawling style and will pounce on her opponent once they are hurt. On the feet, this is a brawler vs. striker matchup.

I don’t think that Taylor has faced anyone on the level of Moroz in her career, and as long as Moroz can weather an early storm, then she should be able to get the win.

My pick: Moroz -3.5 handicap (line not out yet) hedged with Taylor via KO/TKO (line not out yet)
