How Legit Are Bitcoin Lotteries, Really?

Some websites have begun offering Bitcoin lotteries. If you’re thinking about trying your luck with them, here are some things to know first.

The Legality Varies Based on Where You Live

Bitcoin is still largely unregulated. However, many countries started setting rules to regulate Bitcoin gambling, including lotteries. It’s smart to see what the laws in your country are before getting started.

Look for Bitcoin Lotteries Offered By Regulated Gambling Sites

Prior to entering a Bitcoin lottery, read the website’s fine print and determine whether you’re dealing with a regulated provider. If so, that means the site must follow the gambling regulations of the respective company, and it might give you some recourse if something goes wrong when attempting to collect winnings.

One of the questions most often on people’s minds is whether Bitcoin lotteries are legitimate. You’ll have better luck finding a regulated one if you look for regulated providers. Keep in mind, though, that many Bitcoin gambling sites get regulated in Curaçao, a place with looser regulations than many other nations.

A Bitcoin lottery site called Kibo Lotto took that approach in late 2018. Crypto-Games.net also operates a lottery site that appears to have ties to Curaçao based on a logo in the site’s footer, as does Bitplay Club. One potential advantage to Bitplay Club is that it promises “provably fair” games through algorithms that show transparency.

There are also sites, like Yet Another Bitcoin Lottery (YABTCL) with no indication of regulation. Playing there arguably raises the risks.

Most Bitcoin Lotto Games Have Familiar Instructions

In states that have traditional lottery programs, such as Virginia, it’s easy to find databases that give people the information they need to know to start playing.

For example, Virginian adults can play daily lotto games, as well as jackpot games. There are also instant-win games, such as scratcher cards. Most of the Bitcoin lottery sites provide similar offerings. So, you shouldn’t need to spend much time learning how to play.

Lottoland Launches World’s First Regulated Bitcoin Lottery

In 2017, a gambling site called Lottoland attracted attention for creating what it advertised as the first regulated Bitcoin jackpot. When playing the Pick 6 game offered at Lottoland, people have a 1-in-7 chance of winning a prize. The system set up there is a good example of a well-known lottery game structure. People mark their chosen numbers on an electronic ticket.

Few Long Established Sites

While researching Bitcoin lottery sites, it becomes clear they often don’t have staying power. Three sites mentioned in media sources (BTCFreeLotto.com, 10XBTC and World Super Lotto) have since stopped operating. Similarly, Kibo Lotto, the site mentioned earlier, is still in the coming-soon stage according to its website.

There’s also a mobile lottery ticket app site called Jackpocket that reportedly started offering Bitcoin as a method of paying for lottery tickets in 2016. However, there are no newer mentions of that option in the media or within the Jackpocket homepage or help database. In that case, Jackpocket itself is more established but seems to have moved away from dealing with Bitcoin.

Play With Caution

The information here emphasizes why you should be exceptionally careful when playing Bitcoin lotteries. Plus, watch out for related social media posts. In one recent incident, hackers took over the official Twitter feed of the South African cricket board and used it to try and interest people in a Bitcoin lottery.

Lotteries require people to weigh the risks with the possible rewards, and doing that is especially necessary with the Bitcoin varieties.

Have you tried any of the Bitcoin lotteries or is simply holding BTC the best strategy? Let us know below!

[Note: This is a press release.]

This ICO is unique because the company has been generating revenue, adding users and enhancing its products since 2013. Instead of wondering if you are buying vaporware with the ICO you have a chance to share in the growth and profits of an established company.

From Sports Betting to Provably Fair Games

Monster Byte owns and operates Peerbet.org, Bit777.com, and BitcoinRush.io. Bitcoin Rush offers sports betting and a provably fair casino all custom built and originally founded as “casinobitco.in” in 2013.The sportsbook currently offers highly competitive odds and a daily cashback system that is not available at any other bitcoin sportsbook. The BitcoinRush.io sportsbook will be updated with a new UI/UX model and implement a system that earns between 2-4% per bet regardless if the player wins or loses.

Peerbet.org will be relaunched with a new modern design that will be responsive for tablet and mobile device play.

BitcoinRush.io will start accepting more coins including Waves, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, and others in time for the next NFL season in September.

A dedicated Slack channel will also be created to follow the day-to-day operations and development progress with the team itself.

When is the Monster Byte ICO? I Want in NOW!

The ICO pre-sale will begin on July 3rd, 2017 at 16:00 UTC, and extend until July 8th 16:00 UTC or whenever the pre-sale is sold out, whichever occurs first. The general sale will open at July 8th at 16:00, and 7,500,000 Monster Byte tokens will then be sold at $0.11 USD.

Is There a Cap?

Yes, in total, Monster Byte anticipates raising $1,025,000 USD which gives Monster Byte a $4.4M post-money valuation. They chose not to have an open cap as savvy investors should know exactly what they are buying into, with a well-defined capitalization model.

A Unique Opportunity

This is your chance to invest in one of the fastest growing industries. Sports betting and online gambling is one of the best use cases for cryptocurrencies. Currently, online gambling as a whole is a $46 Billion/year market. Depending on estimates, that figure is expected to reach $50 Billion/year by 2019. At the same time, due the benefits of both the player and operator, cryptocurrency gambling is going to ‘eat into’ this market gradually year over year.

Based on Monster Byte’s solid reputation and long-standing history in this young niche market, as well as their expansion into B2B operations this is an ICO that is sure to go quickly.

Visit our website and sign up for our newsletter to get the latest updates on the ICO and presale. You can also connect with us on Slack and on BitcoinTalk.

Bitcoin Games Weekly Payout Hits 154.3 BTC in One Week

· April 30, 2017 · 6:00 am

Popular Bitcoin betting platform Bitcoin Games has recently paid out a record amount of 154.3 BTC worth of prizes in a single week. The winnings were paid out to 11 players, all in the form of progressive roulette winnings.

[Note: This is a press release]

Prior to the record week’s winnings, the increasingly popular Bitcoin betting platform had already paid out over 1,000 BTC worth of prizes in the last six months. The platform’s recent spike in user base has been accredited to the minimal house advantage and lack of registration process.

The Bitcoin gambling platform constantly keeps adding new titles. The popular game categories on the platform include Slots, Blackjack, Poker, Dice, Roulette, Keno, and Craps. The reduced house edge on Bitcoin Games and its provably fair gaming algorithm translates to an expected return of up to 99% for the players. With the absence of a sign-up process, members can freely come and go as they please, with total anonymity.

The biggest and the latest jackpot was won on the platform’s Progressive Roulette game. Players can make the best out of “Progressive prizes” by selecting the ‘Play 1 credit’ button, which will qualify them for the Progressive Roulette wins. Bitcoin Games has further enhanced the gaming experience with faster transactions by removing network confirmations while providing an option for the players to opt for it if they wish. Bitcoin Games comes integrated with Shapeshift to ensure that players can choose to place bets using different cryptocurrencies.

Although the platform has removed few aspects of the membership process that some players might associate with security, Bitcoin Games is as secure as any other similar website. Players are offered the choice of both Authy and Google Authenticator, in order to keep their accounts safe with two-factor authentication.

Bitcoin Games also provides players with a full 24/7-customer support chat window for all queries and issues. The platform also has an attractive referral program, giving players a chance to earn up to 25% of the house edge when they onboard other players to Bitcoin Games. All payouts are instantaneous, and players can withdraw their winnings at any time.

Bitcoin Games has focused on streamlining the platform to simplify the gaming experience for its player-base. The platforms sizable progressive prizes, reduced house edge, and absence of registration make Bitcoin Games one of the simplest and easiest Bitcoin betting platform in the market.

2.5 Years, 3.7 Million BTC: Gambling is the Dark Horse of Cryptocurrency

· April 11, 2017 · 8:00 am

Cryptocurrency gambling is traditionally thought of as a marginal industry; in fact, it has earned 3.7 million BTC in less than three years.

16,000 BTC Profits and Counting

The astronomical figure is the result of data collected since December 2014 by umbrella resource The Bitcoin Strip.

While by no means all of the 66 casinos covered were in operation at the time, the statistics provide further concrete evidence of a sector which is both rapidly expanding and maturing.

Online Gambling Bitcoin

In March, one site Cloudbet recorded the industry’s biggest single win to date – 160 BTC in a session worth at the time approximately $255,000 USD.

“…This is the biggest single round win we’ve ever seen in over four years of operation,” owner Marco Rossi commented at the time. “For us, this signifies a new era in the relentless growth of bitcoin gambling.”

The numbers do not stop there. Last month alone, casinos took in 130,000 BTC in plays, profiting just over 300 BTC. Total profits for the sites listed on Bitcoin Strip for all time currently stand at just over 16,000 BTC, or $19.3 million.

Early Bird Investors’ Cryptoworms

Looking at profits alone, the numbers may only scratch the surface of the vast sums accumulated by fiat casinos both on and offline every day. Nonetheless, revenue from cryptocurrency’s top operators makes the industry and increasingly interesting proposition for both large and small-scale investors.

According to Bitcoin Strip, the number one earner for the past 30 days was Bustabit, which hauled in over $67 million in bets. Primedice, a longtime industry name, came second at $49 million.

In total, the top ten earners generated just shy of $150 million in one month.

It is worth noting that not all cryptocurrency gambling sites are designed to appeal to technically-minded players. Concepts which originally sold the industry to its select target market, such as “provably fair” games and other cryptography-centric features, are no longer a necessity.

Bitcoin Strip now includes three categories in its listings: provably fair, fair and not provably fair, helping identify the priorities held by each resource.

Meanwhile, gambling, just like in Vegas, is a world that never sleeps. March saw an average 360 bets per second, Bitcoin Strip statistics report, with just under 3 bitcoins wagered every minute.

Microbetting meanwhile – a key feature of the crypto industry proving popular – is as evident a ever, with an average bet size in March of 0.00013547BTC ($0.16).

What do you think is the future of Bitcoin gambling? Are you surprised by the statistics? Let us know in the comments below!

Bet Bitcoin on UFC 209: Stephen Thompson vs. Tyron Woodley

· March 4, 2017 · 3:00 am

Bet Bitcoin on UFC 209. This time, two belts are on the line including the rematch of Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson and ‘The Chosen One’ Tyron Woodley.

The last fight ended in a draw and Woodley retained the belt. It will be interesting to see what changes the fighters make this time around. On this fight card is also the highly anticipated fight Tony Furgeson vs. Kalaib Nurmagomedov for the interim 155 title. This fight could arguably be the main event, and the winner could face Conner Mc Gregor. Let’s take a look at these two fights and the sportsbooks that enable you to bet Bitcoin.

Stephen Thompson vs. Tyron Woodley 2

Thompson is known for his specular kicks and quickness. He uses a sideways stance used in more traditional martial arts. He was able to get some strikes in mainly in the fifth round of the last fight. In the rest of the fight, he was hesitant to pull the trigger and throw combinations or power strikes. His kicks were countered early on when Woodley caught a kick and took him down.

The key for Thompson is to throw a higher volume of strikes compared to last time and get in Woodly’s face. He could add in more leg kicks, but there is a reason why he was hesitant to do that in the first fight. Woodley has strong takedowns. If there are more kicks, then that could give Woodley more opportunities to get a takedown.

The problem that Woodley presents to people is his double threat of a powerful counter of a kick with one of his overhands or a takedown. Nearly every commentator talks negatively regarding Woodley’s stamina.

I think the last fight proved that he does have the stamina for a five round fight. Woodley is the one that did the damage last fight. He was able to stand with Thompson and figure out the riddle of his unorthodox style that many had trouble with.

I am going with the champion Woodley who is currently an underdog. Woodley’s politics of sometimes bringing in the question of how he is treated as a champion by the fans compared to other champions that are white has made him more unpopular, and Thompson’s spectacular spinning kicks has made him a fan favorite, and the betting line reflects that.

Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson

Update: This fight has been canceled

This is going to be one of the most legendary fights in UFC history. Khabib is undefeated and has dominated his opponents. He is known for taking people down, holding them there and beating them up. There has not been anyone that can stop his takedowns.

Khabib mixes different styles of takedowns from various martial arts which is what makes it difficult for people to deal with. Most people are used to sprawling against wrestling style takedowns, but he can switch to sambo, judo and other styles of takedowns in a flow that most people can not train for.

On the feet, Khabib is not afraid to use his hands to cover the distance to get in takedown range. In his last fight, he did show some weakness on the feet when he got rocked against Michael Johnson, but he went on to win that fight in a devastating manner. Tony Ferguson has one of the most unorthodox styles on the feet and the ground.

He can use distance on the feet and keep his distance while picking people apart as he did against former champion Raphel Dos Antos. Ferguson has shown us excellent takedown defense with sprawls and even rolling out of scrambling situations. He also uses leg locks and heel hooks off of the bottom.

If there is going to be someone to beat Khabib, then Ferguson could be the one. People are overlooking him and looking forward to a possible Khabib vs. Conner fight. Ferguson has a six-inch reach advantage on the feet, and on top of that, he is an expert at using distance. This is going to be a long night for Khabib if it is on the feet.

If Khabib can not get a takedown early on in the first or second round, then he will be in trouble. Most of Khabib’s fights end in the first or second round, and we have not seen how his stamina is in the later rounds.

I’m going with Ferguson. His technical striking with the reach advantage combined with his proven takedown defense will be enough to get this in the later rounds where Ferguson will pick him apart with his jab and elbows when he tries to close the distance.

Track Record

This year I am 3-2 in MMA picks including underdog Ronda Markos. You can check out past events here:

Also on this card two vets face off in Evens vs. Kelly. Maybe one of these guys retires after this fight. Two former K-1 Champions face each other in Hunt vs. Overeem. Hunt is suing the UFC for not doing enough against steroid use and faces Overeem who has been caught using PEDs in the past. This card is stacked from top to bottom.

Bet Bitcoin: UFC Fight Night Halifax (Travis Browne vs. Derrick Lewis)

· February 18, 2017 · 4:00 am

Last week’s UFC main event ended in a controversial decision this week’s main event is unlikely to go to the judges and is likely to end with someone on the ground.

Bet Bitcoin on UFC Fights

In the main event, Travis Browne faces knockout artist Derrick Lewis. Also on the card are two former champions Johny Hendricks and Carla Esparza who face Hector Lombard and Randa Markos. Also this weekend Bellator 172 features the legendary Fedor fighting against Matt Mitrione to round out a big MMA weekend. You can bet on all these fights with bitcoin at Cloudbet.

Travis Browne v Derrick Lewis

This heavyweight fight is not one you want to miss. Travis Browne has had a hard time getting a win lately losing his past, fights. Since he has been training with Edmond Tarverdya he has not looked the same. He used to be known for his footwork and quickness, but we have not seen him fight like the “old Travis” in a while. He has also shown that he can be knocked out and now he faces one of the most feared knockout artists in the heavyweight division.

Derrick Lewis is on a five-fight win streak with four knockouts. In his last fight, he was most likely down four rounds to zero but managed to get the knockout in the fourth round. He manages to find a way to test the chin of everyone that he fights, even if he is tired and behind in the fight. Even if we see the old Browne using a lot of footwork, his chin is questionable. Lewis will find a way to test that chin.

Pick: Derrick Lewis

Carla Esparza vs. Randa Markos

Carla Esparza is the first women’s featherweight champion in UFC history. She won the first all women TUF final against Rose Namajunas. She lost her first title defense to Joanna Jędrzejczyk in brutal fashion.

In her last fight against Juliana Lima, she was able to get the win however she looked a little hesitant on the feet. After taking the beating that she did against Jędrzejczyk, does she have confidence in her stand up? We know that she has good wrestling but what about her stand up? Esparza can put most of her opponents on the ground, but what happens when that does not work?

MMA: UFC 202-Markos vs Casey

I am not sold on her stand up, and I do not think she can handle a battle where she gets hit in the face a lot. Ronda Markos is willing to take one to give one. She is willing to brawl and get in some exchanges. Markos also has good wrestling and has a dangerous submission game. I think that Markos has a good chance of giving Esparza some trouble on the feet and that she can stuff enough of her takedowns to win this. On top of this, there is an old rivalry from TUF.

These two do not like each other and would like to get some hand on face time, not just cruise through rounds for a win. Esparza has a lot of distractions in the background. She reportedly has some financial problems and had her walk out song pulled for legal reasons. I think Markos can get the upset here.

Pick: Ronda Markos

Track Record: Previous Picks

This year I am now 1-2 on my MMA picks. De Randamie got the win via five round decision against Holly Holm. It was a controversial win because De Randamie hit Holm after the bell two times. After taking a second look the second time was not a solid hit, and De Randamie pulled her punch. That being said the ref could have easily taken a point away for the first late hit. If you watch the fight again do so without sound and judge each round, I think you will come to the same conclusion that the judges did.

A few big MMA events are coming up including UFC 209 that features two title bouts: Woodly vs. Thompson 2 and Nurmagomedov vs. Ferguson.

You can discuss MMA or sports betting at the Telegram sports betting channel. I will be there talking about the fights as they happen. Will Derrick Lewis get another knockout or are we going to see the old Travis Browne?

Bet Bitcoin on UFC 208: Holly Holm vs. Germaine de Randamie

· February 11, 2017 · 7:00 am

This weekend includes a chance to bet bitcoin on a UFC card with championship implications. Let’s have a look at one of the fights.

Bitcoin continues to grow as a method for people to bet on sports. Over $4.25 billion USD were bet on the Super Bowl. It is unclear how much of this amount was in Bitcoin, but it is clear that Bitcoin gambling is on the rise.

Holly Holm vs. Germaine de Randamie

There is a new weight division in the UFC. The women’s lightweight 145-pound division. This weekend we will know who the first champion of this division is. This title fight has two of the top strikers in women’s MMA.

Holly Holm known for her spectacular knockout win over Rondy Rousey will fight decorated striker Germaine de Randamie. Holm professional boxing record includes 16 title defenses won at three different weight classes, and Germaine de Randamie is 37-0 in kickboxing with three titles.

Although they are both known for their striking, they have two distinct styles. Holm is known for her technical counter-striking. She keeps her distance and prefers to stay on the outside and use her reach. She does not take very much damage and can win rounds by getting clean strikes and avoiding damage.

However, this time around she does not have the reach advantage that she is used to as de Randamie has two inches longer reach. Germaine is not only known for her technical striking but also for her power. She tends more to go forward and engage the fight and has also shown a strong clinch game including knees, which ended her fight against Anna Elmose.

The question here is will de Randamie’s forward movement open her up for Holm’s counter-striking? De Randamie is not the run of the mill MMA striker. She has years of experience and has shown her ability to judge distance and not just to go forward with abandon.

I give de Randamie the advantage in power and clinch. She will be able to back up Holm and get her up against the cage. The threat of de Randamie’s power is going to make Holm hesitant to commit to her strikes and make it difficult for her to win rounds on points. I am going with Germaine de Randamie.

Pick: Germaine de Randamie 1.74 at Cloudbet

Track Record: Previous Picks

The Super Bowl was the first ever to go into overtime. How the Atlanta Falcons lost such a big lead will be a question people will be asking for years. Atlanta giving up their lead and the game going into overtime made two of my picks losers.

The under 58 points and Atlanta Falcons Moneyline. The first half under 28.5 was a winner who makes the record 1-3 for the Super Bowl and 3-5 for the playoffs and Super Bowl combined. For MMA in 2017, I am 0-2. Let’s see if that improves after this weekend. Also on the fight card is the return of Jacare Souza who faces Tim Boetsch as well as the legendary Anderson Silva as he meets Derek Brunson.

Super Bowl 2017: Betting with Bitcoin on the Big Game

· February 5, 2017 · 2:00 am

It is time for Super Bowl LI in Houston, Texas. The New England Patriots face the Atlanta Falcons. The Super Bowl is expected to attract an estimated $4.7 billion USD in bets. Bitcoin is growing as an easy way for bettors to send funds to offshore sportsbooks. It is unclear how much bitcoin is used to bet on the super bowl, but what is clear is that the number is going up. Let’s have a look at the game and some possible bets.

Super Bowl LI: Expected to be an Offensive Shootout

Sportsbooks opened the total score at 60 which was a record high. Currently, the total score line is 58 which is still very high for any NFL game. The Atlanta Falcons are known for their explosive offense led by Matt Ryan who threw for 4,944 yards in the regular season, and the Patriots are known for veteran Tom Brady who threw for 3,554 yards missing a few games due to injury.

Both teams have explosive running backs: Freeman (ATL) 1,079 yards and Blount (NE) 1,161 yards as well as top performing receivers Jones (ATL) 1,409 yards and Edelman (NE) 1,106 yards. With both teams having these offensive players it could come down to whether the defense can get a stop.

Defense Overlooked

The Patriots allowed an average of 15 points per game in the regular season while the Falcons only ranked 25, allowing 24 points per game. In the playoffs, the Atlanta defense has improved and shown that they can stop a strong offense as they did against Seattle and Green Bay.

What still goes to be seen is if the Atlanta defense will be able to stop the Patriot running game. Atlanta has trouble stopping the Seattle running game. Seattle had mostly abandoned the running game because they were so far behind. I am sure that the Patriots saw this and will do their best to slow the game down and eat up the clock running the ball and trying to tire out the Atlanta defense.

The Patriots defense is going to likely do a lot to stop any Atlanta big plays. With some wide receivers being double teamed and safeties concentrating on the long ball there could be a lot of throws to Freeman out of the backfield. Freeman can be very explosive once he gets the ball. It will be interesting to see if the Patriots give up the short distance runs and pass to cover deep to prevent a big play.

What is a point spread and what do -3 and +3  and ML mean?

“I want to bet, but it is confusing.”

A point spread is a margin that a team must win by or a margin that a team can lose by for your bet to win. In the Super Bowl, the favorites are the New England Patriots, and the point spread is -3. This means for your -3 bet to win they must win by more than 3 points.

If they win by exactly three points, your bet is a “push,” which means you get your money back. If they win by only one or two points, then your bet would be a loss. Atlanta is the underdog at +3. That means that Atlanta can lose by one or two points and your bet still wins. If they lose by three it is a “push” and you get your money back.

Of course, if they lose by more than three your bet is a loss. ML stands for “Moneyline” – it just is a bet on who will win without any handicap.

What Does Total Score Over-Under Mean?

With this bet, you are betting on the total score of both teams together. If Atlanta has 21 and New England has 28, then the total score is 49. You can bet if the total score will be over or under 58 for the Super Bowl. You can also bet the over-under for the first half or first quarter. This is a way to bet on the game that does not include betting on who wins.

My Picks

There are a lot of bets for the Super Bowl. In fact, some places have up to 900 prop bets. We are not going to over complicate things here, though. Instead of betting on a team in what should be a close game you can look elsewhere for value. Since most recreational bettors like to see high scoring games, there is an inclination to bet the over on the over under total score.

I am going to go the other way here and bet under 58 game and 29 for the Half. This is going to be a close game. The point spread is only three points and I like the momentum that Atlanta has coming into this game. They have so many offensive weapons that I think it will be hard to stop them. Although the Atlanta defense did not look great when you look at the whole season, they have improved a lot and looked good in the playoffs.

Here are my picks:

  • Under 58 points Game 1.93
  • Under 29.5 points First Half 1.79
  • Atlanta Falcons ML 2.34

All odds are from CloudBet.com

Note: I went 3-3 in the playoffs and you can review my picks here and here.

This is going to be a good game with two closely matched teams. I do not expect a blowout. Make sure to check out CloudBet for the best odds. If you have any questions about how to bet on the Super Bowl, you can put them in the comments below and you can also head over to the Telegram sports betting channel and ask your questions there.  Remember that the Super Bowl is just one game out of many to bet on. Do not forget good bankroll management; there is no need to go all in just because it is a big event.

UFC Fight Night Denver: Shevchenko vs. Peña – Bet with Bitcoin

· January 28, 2017 · 7:00 am

Let’s have a look at this week’s UFC fight card and recap the NFL playoff picks from last week to see how we did with our Bitcoin bets.

Last week, the NFL playoffs came to an end. Now, the Atlanta Falcons will face the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. To Meryl Streep’s delight there are no NFL games this weekend, but to her disgust, there is a UFC card, and it is stacked. But first, let’s review our last week’s NFL picks…

Last Week’s NFL Picks Recap

The Atlanta Falcons destroyed the Green Bay Packers with a final score of 21-44. The Packers had too many dropped balls and turnovers. In the playoffs, you can not drop that many passes and turnover the ball that much if you want to win.

There was also a crucial turnover when Green Bay fumbled the ball in the red zone. There was enough scoring on both sides that the over 60 was no problem for the game total. In the second half, Aaron Rodgers took the matter into his own hands running for first downs rather than passing to his receivers that were dropping passes left and right.

My picks went 1-1 for this game, Green Bay +4.5 was a loss and over 60 points game total was a win.

The Patriots dominated the Steelers most of the game. In the third quarter, the Patriots sealed the deal with 16 unanswered points. All of the under 50 total points bettors were getting nervous, and then it happened. The Steelers got a touchdown and then, of course, the Patriots answered back with a touchdown and then the under was toast. 1-1 on this game too: Patriots -6 win under 50 points total loss

Picks record for the NFL playoffs is 3-3

Fight Night: Donald Cerrone vs. Jorge Masvidal

Masvidal is coming off a first-round knockout of Jake Ellenberger. After three fights in a row going the distance, this was a noticeable change in Masvidal’s tempo. He is known for being a very technical striker preferring to counterstrike and has lost some close decisions perhaps because his opponent was more active. Masvidal has solid take downs and takedown defense but is known for his stand up.

In this fight, he will need to put Cerrone under pressure and back him up. After moving to the 170 lbs. division, Cerrone has been on fire. He is on a four win fight streak finishing all fights in the distance. This fight should take place standing and Cerrone needs to put Masvidal under pressure. If Cerrone stays active and initiates the striking exchanges, I have a feeling that it will be a long night for Masvidal. I do not see Masvidal being able to get Cerrone to back up or that he will be able to out point Cerrone on his feet and get a decision.

Pick: Cerrone 1.62 at Cloudbet

Valentina Shevchenko vs. Julianna Peña

This fight will likely determine the next opponent to fight Nunes for the title. Shevchenko is a highly decorated striker with multiple kickboxing titles. In this fight, her takedown defense will be put to the test. Against Nunes, she had some problems defending the takedown and was not able to do much until round three when Nunes was tired. When she fought Kaufmann in her UFC debut, she surprised many by taking her down in round one. That fight ended with Kaufmann on top in mount.

Although Shevchenko has shown takedown defense, I do not think it will be enough to stop Peña from getting her down. Since the main threat from Peña is the takedown, this will also make it harder for Shevchenko to use her kicks. When the main part of the fight is up against the cage and on the ground that is the kind of fight Peña wants.

Although Shevchenko is a decorated striker, we have not seen her put anyone away in her UFC career. Peña has shown that she is one of the strongest wrestlers in the division. She rag dolled the strong Cat Zingano in her last victory at UFC 200. Shevchenko’s lack of ability to get up once taken down makes me think this is going to be a long night for her.

Pick: Peña 2.26 at Cloudbet

This fight card also features 17 year MMA veteran Arlovski against up coming Ngannou as well as Alex-Caceres “Bruce Lee Roy” against Jason Knight.

Moreover, next weekend is the Super Bowl. Be sure to drop by as I go over the game and some of the more interesting prop bets that are offered. Once again, our preferred Bitcoin sports betting portal is Cloudbet, which offers some of the best odds on the market.

NFL Playoffs Round 2: Here’s How to Bet with Bitcoin

· January 13, 2017 · 4:00 am

If you are planning to bet on the next round of the NFL playoffs, bitcoin will be the best way to move funds in and out of a sportsbook.

NFL Playoffs: Divisional Round

The NFL season has come to a close and the wildcard round of the playoffs behind us. In the first round of the playoffs all of the favorites won. Will the trend continue into the divisional round?

Ten out of the last eleven years had one home team losing in the divisional round of the playoffs. Will having one week off be the edge that some teams need to get the win? Let’s have a look at the games and the lines as well as how to bet with Bitcoin.

Seahawks vs. Falcons

On Saturday, the 14th of January, the Seahawks face the Falcons. The Seahawks are coming off a good showing against the Lions. They were able to establish the run game and held the Lions to two field goals on defense. The Seahawks looked good, but that was at home against the Lions with QB Stratford wearing his famous “glove” as he played yet another game with a finger splint and injured finger. The season was hot and cold for the Seahawks, do they have it together now that they are in the playoffs?

Atlanta has been a scoring machine in the regular season. They are number one in average points per game at 33.8. QB Matt Ryan has almost 5,000 yards in the regular season and Running Back Freeman has 1,079. The Falcons have relied on their offense to get a lot of points to win games as the defense has given up a lot of points. Can the Seahawks contain the Atlanta Offense or will the Falcons put 40 points of their own on the board? Do not underestimate the revenge factor.

The Falcons lost to the Seahawks this year in week six 26 to 24. If the Seahawks can get ahead and establish the run game as they did against the Lions then the Falcons will have a hard time scoring. I do not see that happening though, and if Atlanta gets behind get ready for some bombs from Matt Ryan.

Pick Game Total: Over 51 points

Texans vs. Patriots

After the Texans’ QB Osweiler had a good game against Oakland he will have to go into Gillette Stadium to face the Patriots. Earlier in the 2016 season the Texans were shut out at Gillette Stadium and that was with the third string QB Brissett. This time the Patriots will be in full force and the sportsbooks think that it will a slaughter. Brady has been quoted as saying that there is “nothing easy” about facing the Texans but the books disagree.

Currently, The Texans are a 16 point underdog, the fourth largest underdog in NFL playoff history. That being said, do you really want to lay 16 points in a playoff game? I can see the Pats coming out strong in the first half.

Pick First Half: Patriots -10

Here are some more good matchups:

  • Chiefs -2 vs. Steelers +2
  • Packers +4.5 vs. Cowboys -4.5

Will the Chiefs be able to get it done at home or will the momentum of the Steelers be too much? The Cowboys’ star rookie quarterback Dak Prescott goes up against veteran Aaron Rodgers.

Will this game be a changing of the guards or a reality check for a rookie? Can Texas cover the massive 16 point spread or are they ready to pull off what would be maybe the biggest upset in playoff history? Join us in the Sports Betting Telegram Chat to discuss your bets.
